Bridging in cooperation with Ziggo, has developed a standard solution for the creation and maintenance of letters, documents and reports. This solution is based on Oracle technology such as BI Publisher. Sotuma in the Gambia The projects in the villages of Fantumbung and Songkunda have a special radiance at the entire district, and have set an example for all of the surrounding villages. This is demonstrated by the many requests for assistance. The residents have a great need of a vegetable garden. The people in this remote area eat almost no fruit and many children have a thick belly, worn by too much finite food. Every human being has the right of access to clean water and healthy food, and therefore a better health. The village habitants are mainly farmers that predominantly grow peanuts and couscous. This can only be done during the rain season that lasts from July to mid-October. The farmers harvest peanuts in November and it is the intention that the harvest is used for their own consumption and for sale. However there is not even enough for own consumption and as a result, the farmers are in major financial problems because they can not sell anything. And so no other food to buy. Bridging support Micro credit for mothers Tuesday, 20 November, the Microcredit for Mothers foundation organized a benefit dinner held in hotel the Gold Pheasant in Amsterdam. Microcredit for mothers is a foundation for women in Asia, which provides small loans to invest and increase their incomes permanently. A number of Bridging employees and their partners have attended this benefit dinner. For all employees who were not able to come to the benefit dinner, Bridging has donated the amount for the dinner to microcredit for mothers. It was a very successful evening. |
