Bridging has designed a toolbox for the efficient and effective implementation of Role-based Access Management (UMX). With use of this toolbox we are be able to implement access management in a very short time.

The functionality needed for applying UMX is included in the so-called basic licenses. So without any additional license fees this can be applied. Our toolbox uses Oracle HR (shared or full install), Oracle UMX (Role-based Access management) and Oracle AME (Approval Manager engine). The preparatory work has already been done by us.

By deploying user management access fully, the request for additional access to the application will become a self service activity. An approval workflow can be associated with it. As a result, enhanced supervision, responsibility and reporting capabilities are available on the assigned user rights. This represents an important contribution to the accountability by (external) Accountants.

The management of users can also be done by means of the system administrator responsibility. With this, there are no possibilities for approval workflows. Also, it is not possible to initiate additional access by end users.

The implementation of user management is not particularly complex. Before the implementation can be started, there is however, a number of important aspects to be considered. The persons that will have to approve the requests for access has to be determined, the roles the organization intends to use need to be identified, and where these roles will consist of. We can help you with these choices.
